Dan & Angie Huffstutler

Dan & Angie have been connected to Kenya since they spent 2002 serving the Lord in Nairobi. They returned to the US for local church experience and additional education, but the Lord led them back to Kenya in 2010. They seek to fully establish churches for the glory of God by evangelizing the lost, equipping the saints for the work of the ministry, and entrusting the Word to faithful disciples.

Jeremy & Jenny Pittsley

Jeremy and Jenny grew up in Bible-believing homes and faithful Baptist churches. Jeremy completed two graduate, theological degrees at Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary and began support-raising in 2009, but in 2011 the Lord opened a door to work with a sister ministry in Zambia for the entire 2011 school year.

The Pittsleys have now returned to Africa and have been serving in Kenya since 2013. God has uniquely prepared Jeremy and Jenny through desire, training, and experience, and gifted them to partner with the GBM team in seizing the opportunity to train Kenyans for ministry.

The Key Features of GBM

Church-planting Focus

GBM exists to promote the spread of God’s glory through the establishment of indigenous church-planting movements.

Local Church Emphasis

GBM emphasizes the authority and responsibility of both the sending and supporting local churches.

No Administrative Costs

GBM is a ministry of ICBC to their missionaries and to like-minded sending churches. Therefore, the funds that churches commit to GBM missionaries go directly to support the missionary work and not to support the administrative costs of the mission.

Pre-ministry Preparation

GBM candidates engage in extensive survey trips, interviews with current church planters or missionaries, and demographic studies before presenting a workable proposal for a particular mission field.

Partnering

GBM partners with local churches that agree with the following statements:

  • For the sake of the purity of the gospel, believers and churches must separate from those who deny essential doctrines of the faith (Jude 3; 2 John 9-11; Rom 16:17).

  • For the sake of the clarity of the gospel, believers and churches must separate from those who compromise the faith by granting Christian recognition and fellowship to those who have denied essential doctrines of the faith (Rom 16:17; Phil 3:17-19; cf. 2 Thess 3:6-15).

  • For the sake of the credibility of the gospel, believers and churches must strive to reflect God’s holiness and to live differently than those who have not experienced the saving grace of Jesus Christ (1 Peter 1:15-16; Eph 4:17-19).
